 WARM WEATHER WARNING

Lost & FoundOK folks we are having some fantastic weather right now, however it is also a time we need to be more vigilant.

Along with warm weather comes doors & windows being opened more often. This is a prime time for our beloved pet birds to escape!!

Be more conscientious when letting your parrots out, make sure the kids are reminded to close doors etc, check your birds are safe in their cages & cannot let themselves out (we all know how good they are letting themselves out!).

Do everything you can to ensure they are safe & sound as it only takes a split second for them to slip through & opening & escape!

Also remember that birds with clipped wings can still escape & get further away in warmer weather as the hot air currents can carry them without much flying involved.

 LOST AFRICAN GREY - MILTON KEYNES - 13.04.09 (easter monday)

Lost & FoundJaxinmk writes "Our beloved 3 yr old African Grey, was spooked by a noise today, approx 12 noon, and took off from our home in Deanshanger, Milton Keynes.
She is 3 yrs old and answers to the name of Mango. She has a gorgeous red tail, and her right wing droops slightly. She is so precious, and we are desperate to find her.
She has a ring on her left leg, and is also microchipped.
Please ring with any info on 07854 710882.
There is a reward for her safe return."

 dont give up hope on your lost parrot

Lost & FoundAnonymous writes "after 3 months yesterday we got our amazon orange wing back.he had befriended two magpies when we came across him two months ago. we never gave up on him. we saw him in trees eating elder berries and acorns.we bought a large wild bird feeder filled it with his favorite food,placed it in the garden.five days ago he landed on the feeder.the next day we moved the feeder closer to the house.then the next day closer,untill it was right outside the patio door.and yesterday he flew into the house.i think he must have thought heck it is getting a bit cold out here. SO DONT GIVE UP HOPE IF YOUR PARROT GETS OUT."

 lost african grey

Lost & FoundAnonymous writes "I have lost my African Grey Charley from Little Ryburgh near Fakenham in Norfolk, we are surounded by open fields and woodland last sighting was Sunday the 6th July which is when he decided to stretch his wings.
We have contacted the police, local wildlife reserve, Rspca, radio and scour the locale daily to no avail.
Any further suggestions very much welcomed
Bird is ringed and aged five have had him since he was sixteen weeks old and miss him dearly, in fact we are all bereft.
Many thanks for your time"

 LOST SULPHUR CRESTED COCKATOO - FOUND

Lost & Foundmargy writes "Peggy, medium sulphur crested cockatoo, got out of her cage today and out of the conservatory window at 10.00 this morning in the south valley drive area of Colne in Lancashire.

She is very tame, big and white with a yellow crest.
